From November 19 – 22, the global Additive Manufacturing community comes together in Frankfurt, Germany. 864 exhibitors and more than 34,400 visitors from around the world discussed the latest developments of industry and were showcasing their innovations, capabilities and products.
Oerlikon’s Additive Manufacturing Solutions presented at Formnext included our MetcoAddTM metal powder portfolio including a great variety of nickel, cobalt, steel, and titanium alloys, but also the Additive Component Manufacturing capabilities at the Laser Center of Technology in Wohlen, Switzerland. Our colleagues there have industrialized a large-scale manufacturing process using Directed Energy Deposition (DED) technology. On top we’ve been showcasing two EU-funded projects, InShaPe and DISCO2030, that are investigating beam shaping and multi-material and multi-process additive manufacturing.
