Balzers, Liechtenstein / Moscow, Russia, 12 May 2021 – Oerlikon Balzers, a world-leading supplier of surface solutions for the metal and plastics processing industry, has opened a new regrinding centre in Moscow in response to the demand from global and local customers for reconditioning services for their high-end cutting tools, including re-coating and delivery. With the new centre in Russia, Oerlikon Balzers now operates reconditioning service centres in 18 countries in Europe, North and South America and Asia.
The “one-stop shop” enables customers to benefit from Oerlikon Balzers’ expertise and high-quality services across all reconditioning process steps, as well as a wide range of high-end coatings to meet the requirements of specific applications. Cutting tools can be reconditioned several times, producing a quality and service life comparable to new tools. In addition to reducing costs for customers, reconditioning makes a substantial contribution to sustainability and environmental protection by saving valuable resources. The complete reconditioning service follows a globally defined standard process including incoming inspection, de-coating, regrinding, pre-treatment, re-coating and express delivery service on demand.
