This integrated customer service centre will offer comprehensive solutions for tool and automotive component coatings, as well as thermal spray applications, all under one roof, further enhancing Oerlikon’s capabilities and service offerings. This investment strengthens Oerlikon’s presence in India’s rapidly growing industrial sector. Strategically located in Tumakuru Machine Tool Park (TMTP) along the Chennai-Bengaluru industrial corridor, the new facility reflects Oerlikon's vision of a future driven by smart automation and eco-friendly technology. Built to support India's manufacturing ecosystem, the new centre will strengthen industrial capabilities across key automotive, aerospace, energy, medical and tooling sectors.

Oerlikon's Tumakuru facility, built to IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) Platinum standards, showcases the company's commitment to sustainable manufacturing. With energy-efficient systems, LED lighting, insulated walls, and a Zero Liquid Discharge waste management system, it significantly reduces energy use and emissions. A rainwater harvesting system and solar energy installed meets 60% of its requirement, while AI-driven energy management enhances operational efficiency. “Sustainability is not just a trend—it is a responsibility,” said Sumeet Gupta, reinforcing Oerlikon’s vision for a greener future.
