Neumünster, March 16, 2010 - Oerlikon Neumag presents at the „IDEA 2010“ from 27 April to 29 April in Miami, USA, comprehensive solutions covering all main nonwovens production processes such as spunmelt, meltblown, carding, airlaid and festooning at stand 715.
Carding lines for needle punched or hydroentangled products
One focus will be the carding technology with a series of optimizations of the complete carding process from bale opening up to winding for a couple of applications like filtration, geotextiles, roofing, automotive headliners or acoustic materials. After further improvements at components like the modular card system last year, Oerlikon Neumag will present the brand new Stylus needle loom generation, which enables conventional and elliptical needling on one machine. This new concept combines modern design and latest technology following Fehrer’s tradition of high quality and reliability. The Oerlikon Neumag Carding Division unites the experiences of the brands F.O.R., Autefa and Fehrer.
Meltblown lines for fine fiber barrier fabrics and filtration
Meltblown systems from Oerlikon Neumag guarantee a wide variety of reliable, high-quality meltblown fabrics. The latest developments include improvements of the air and fluid management systems resulting in superior filament and fabric characteristics. Fiber from sub-micron to 15+ micron within webs from <5gsm to 100gsm plus can be produced.
Spunmelt solutions for bicomponents and fine denier fibers
Oerlikon Neumag presents not only multi-beam spunmelt lines for the production of standard nonwovens products but also technological solutions for a highly efficient production of advanced nonwovens, e.g. from microfilaments or bicomponents.
Benchmark technology for Airlaid production
Oerlikon Neumag Airlaid lines base on the leading M&J Technology and cover by far the most production capacities worldwide. The core of this technology is the patented Fiber Forming System which enables the production of wide width webs based either on 100% pulp fibers or homogeneous mixtures of different fibers and powders. The main markets for Airlaid products are absorbent core materials for different top tier hygiene applications, for instance feminine hygiene, as well as tabletop materials or wipes. Health care, incontinence as well as a multitude of other special applications are also serviced today using airlaid products.
